How to Use Library Resources

This page points you to some of the audiovisual content made available to Assumption University students and staff through the Emmanuel d'Alzon Library.

These resources are not classified as "open" and do not make use of Creative Commons licenses.  Instead, these resources are under strict copyright licenses and have been purchased by the library for your educational use.

You may use a portion of a film, image, or song as a properly cited source in your research assignment (as you would use a quote from a book!).  And, just as with a book, you cannot reproduce or share the entire film, image, or song with the general public (on an internet blog or a YouTube channel, for example) without violating copyright.  The items you locate may be freely shared within an environment restricted to Assumption University students or staff, such as in your classroom or on Brightspace.
