Report Publications

Assumption University values the ongoing scholarship pursuits of our faculty.  Please use the Faculty Scholarship Achievement Form to notify the Office of the Provost and the Library of your recent scholarly achievements.

The Library uses these submissions to purchase and display copies of recent faculty publications on our Assumption Authors display wall, located on the first floor of the Library.  Additionally, submissions are reviewed for possible inclusion in our institutional repository Digital Commons @ Assumption University.

Digital Commons @ Assumption University

The Library manages an online institutional repository for the University, which serves to collect, preserve, and showcase the scholarly and creative works produced by our faculty and students.  Examples of materials that may be included in Digital Commons @ Assumption University are:

  • Voluntarily submitted publications produced by faculty, including articles, book chapters, papers, and presentations
  • Exemplary student work such as senior theses and capstone projects
  • Publications or documentation produced by Assumption University with long-term value, including annual yearbooks, commencement programs, magazines, and reports
  • Digitized historical materials from the Special Collections and Archives of the d'Alzon Library and the French Institute

Faculty are encouraged to contribute their own works or recommend exemplary works produced by their students.  Each item added to the repository is made available for public download to a global audience and is assigned a unique, permanent URL which can be easily shared.  Additionally, authors will have access to an Author Dashboard which provides in-depth readership analytics, including download counts, geographical and institutional readership distribution charts, and online referrers (or the website that directed a viewer to your work).

If you would be willing to give the Library permission to add your own scholarship, please contact us at digitalcommons@assumption.edu

Want to learn more?  Send us an email or check out the FAQ Page on the repository website.
